Turkey cannot be accused of being a pedestrian paradise. Even with the right of way, step off the curb at your own peril. If the battle between Montreal motorists and pedestrians is bad, the Turkish version has been amped up a dozen notches.

Just discovered the joys of Oya's bidet. Apparently we, the bidet-free of North America, are mere dirty savages. While it takes some getting used to, there is something to be said for a laser jet stream of water zinging you right where the sun don't shine.

A "dolmus" is a bus stop. Only the direct translation is "stuffed". As in "the frikken bus is stuffed tight with people packed in like sardines". Still, the Turks ain't got nuthin' on Japanese style subways.
