Feral cats are everywhere. Poor things trying to scrounge around for food and shade in the mid-day heat.
Doing business here is all very civilized. When you purchase something, the tea ritual kicks in. The historical roots of Ottoman hospitality on full display.
A strange thing here. You go to the grocery store in the pharmacy aisle for tampons and are greeted by a wall of pads, many different styles and brands. Only a single type of tampon though, and in very short supply. Apparently this is to "preserve the purity of Turkish girls"!
