Fruit trees abound here. We have fig trees, olive, pomegranate, mulberry, quince and plum varieties.
As a seaside resort, Didim caters in a big way to the UK crowd. As such, it has become one big construction zone with a reputation as a destination of choice for sun-starved tourists seeking to invest in holiday homes. Oya's folks have sold their old home to condo developers but around the new condo building are still old homes the likes of these.
Oya's parents live in the condo building right next door.
