Temple of Apollo

A mere 15 minute walk away is the Temple of Apollo, God of health, son of Zeus and Leto. That's right, a leisurely 15 minutes away. We're talking "oh, think I'll pop over to the Apollon Temple while you're at the corner store picking up some milk."

The open air temple sports 122 columns and the area is pretty massive. Unfortunately, it was never completed as it was such an ambitious project. It was started first in the 2nd millennium B.C and the project picked up again in the period of Alexander the Great at 3 B.C.

Sometimes, music events and other types of festivities are held in the auditorium. Niiice.
