Touring the Countryside - Kilkee

We rose early this morning to greet my brother Steve, sis-in-law Carol and three kids Rosie, Simon and Mimi as they flew into Shannon. I'd completely forgotten that folks in the UK and Ireland drive on the left side of the road. Clearly, a visitor pulling out ahead of my brother's car had some trouble with the unfamiliarity of it all. There was a lineup of Hertz cars waiting for the poor man to get the hang of it, but the clutch clearly got the better of him as he gently rolled into landscaped bushes. Oooops. Takes a while before reflexes relax so you need to keep alert for that moment when you steer your vehicle straight into oncoming traffic. WHOAAAAAAA!

We had a gorrrgeous day of touring around the countryside. First we headed off to Kilkee to catch a glimpse of the colllllld Atlantic shoreline. The tide was out so off we went to scope out sand castles.
